Garment worker murdered in N\\\'ganj

A female garment worker was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband in Fatullah Upazila in Narayanganj district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Shraboni, 22, daughter of Faruk Miah, hailed from Jaypurhat district. Victim’s family alleged that her husband Sumon used to torture her for dowry since their marriage 8 months back. Shraboni on Saturday night informed her mother Khodeja over phone that she again got beat up by Sumon at their rented residence in Bholail area in Fatullah that night. On Sunday morning, Khadija went to the residence of the couple in Bholail and found the door locked. Being informed, police went to the spot, broke the lock open and recovered the body of Shraboni. Sumon went into hiding after the incident, according to a news agency.
