Gas cylinder blast kills boy, injures rickshaw-puller

A pedestrian was killed and a rickshaw-puller injured as a gas cylinder for inflating balloons exploded in Bogra town on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Ruku Chowdhury, 18, son of Maksud Chowdhury, a resident of Gohail Road under Sutrapur area in Bogra town. Witnesses said Ruku died on the spot and a rickshaw-puller sustained injuries as some parts of a gas cylinder for inflating balloons hit them after it went off in Gohail Road area around 10:00am. The injured rickshaw-puller was admitted to Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital, according to a news agency.
