GAVI Alliance envoyarrives Nov 13

Bill Roedy, former CEO of MTV and envoy of GAVI Alliance will arrive in Dhaka on November 13 on a five-day visit to Bangladesh, reports UNB. The GAVI Alliance is a public-private global health partnership committed to saving children's lives and protecting people's health by increasing access to immunisation in poor countries. The Alliance partners include developing countries and donor governments, the WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, the vaccine industry in both industrialised and developing countries, research and technical agencies, civil society, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other private philanthropists. On November 14, Roedy will visit rural community health clinics in Sreepur area to see the integrated service delivery where immunisation services, maternal and child health services and other care are offered.
