Gazipur RMG official found dead at factory

Police recovered the body of a garment factory official from his workplace at Tongi in Gazipur city on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 38, assistant accountant of ‘Zaber and Zobayer Garment’ situated at Pagar of Tongi. Police said colleagues found Alamgir hanging from a ceiling fan at his office at noon. Informed, a team from Tongi Police Station recovered the body. Sub-inspector of the PS Moniruzzaman said they are yet to be ascertained whether it was a killing or suicide. However, factory authorities claimed the incident was suicide, according to a news agency.
