Gazprom for joint venture with Bapex

Russian giant Gazrpom says it wants to work jointly with Bangladesh's state-run Bapex to explore gas. Its CEO Valeriy Gulev came up with a proposal to this end on Thursday while calling on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Russian state-owned company says it is interested to start joint venture with Bapex to explore gas in the country's plain lands, hill tracts and offshore areas. It also proposed gas exploration in joint venture with Bapex in the third country outside Russia-Bangladesh as well, Hasina's Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury told reporters, according to a news agency.
