Gen Moeen returns home

Former army chief Gen (retd) Moeen U Ahmed, who played the main role in the 1/11 changeover, returned home Saturday night by Gulf Airways after a long stay abroad, reports UNB.
General Moeen came into political spotlight when he as army chief forced the resignation of the then Dr Iajuddin-led caretaker government and helped in the formation of Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed's caretaker government in the wake of a political stalemate over national polls.
Just after retirement, Gen Moeen left the country and went to the USA apparently due to agitation against him both by BNP and Awami League leaders.
