The "Flying Eye Hospital" has already visited more than 85 countries and saved the sight of millions of people by providing training to local doctors and health-care workers.
ORBIS's blindness prevention activities in Bangladesh started in 1985 through the visit of the "Flying Eye Hospital" in the capital city. A permanent country office was established in the city in 1999.
ORBIS International is a non-profit humanitarian organisation dedicated to saving sight worldwide.
