German co to buy Ananda ships

A delegation of German shipping company Nordic Hamburg led by its Managing Director Dr Rowil Ponta visited the shipyard of Ananda Shipyard & Slipways Ltd at Meghnaghat in Narayanganj recently. The delegation members visited the shipyard complex and witnessed the entire process of constructing ocean-going ships. They expressed satisfaction over the standard maintained by Ananda Shipyard and were pleased about the quality of the ships built at the shipyard. Dr Abdullahel Bari, Chairman, Tariqul Islam, Executive Director, Ananda Shipyard & Slipways Ltd were present at that time. The delegation members were pleased to see the potentials of Ananda Shipyard in constructing world-class ocean-going ships. The German shipping company has shown interest to purchase a number of already-constructed and also under-construction ships of Ananda Shipyard. The formalities in this regards is under way. They informed that the German company is going to purchase these ships for operating on different shipping routes in European region,according to a statement.
