Germany signs ‘Partnership for Sustainable Textiles’

German Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Hans-Joachim Fuchtel has said they have already invested 10 million euro in the ‘Partnership for Sustainable Textiles’ and promised additional funds of 6 million euro in Bancladesh.
“We strongly believe that these good examples will be followed by many more soon,” he said during a signing ceremony in the city, said a media release issued by German Embassy in Dhaka Monday.
During his three-day visit to Bangladesh Fuchtel is promoting the ‘Partnership for Sustainable Textiles’, which aims at social, environmental and economic improvements in Bangladesh’s ready-made garments (RMG) sector, according to a news agency.
