Get set for decisive movement: Khaleda
Saturday, 1 November 2014
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia termed the current Awami League-led government illegal. Addressing a mammoth public rally in Natore on Saturday afternoon, Khaleda, also the leader of the 20-party alliance, alleged that the government is ‘using RAB and police for political murders’. She claimed that there is no security of life and wealth as the country is run by an ‘illegal government’. ‘We can’t let it carried on,’ she said. BNP chief urged the people of the country to get prepared to join a decisive movement. The public rally was organised by the local unit of the 20-party coalition. Khaleda stepped on the stage at the rally at Nawab Siraj-Ud-Daulah Government College ground in the district town amid applause and cheer from supporters. She reached Natore at 3:00pm. The rally began at 2:00pm. The 20-party arranged the rally as part of its fresh countrywide mass campaign to mobilise public support in favour of their demand for a fresh election under a non-party and neutral administration, according to private TV channels.
