Get tough with US envoy, Badal asks FM

Jasad MP Mainuddin Khan Badal on Wednesday asked the new Foreign Minister (FM) to get tough with US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena for his ‘breach’ of diplomatic norms. Referring to the US envoy’s recent reported remarks that he is not only the ambassador of Dhaka but of entire Bangladesh, Badal told the Parliament, “I’ll request new Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali to take him (Mozena) to task.” Taking part in the general discussion in the House on thanksgiving motion on the President’s speech, Badal criticised the ‘unwarranted activities’ of foreign diplomats in the country, according to a news agency
