Getting the most out of class notes

TAKING class notes properly is important for any student. The teacher discusses important points of the lessons in the class. Anyone who is prudent usually takes note of those important points in their note books. They take notes and they also review them in time. Being careful in taking and utilising those notes help them to do well in studies.
One can become more attracted to studies by taking class notes in a proper manner. By listening to certain lessons, that student might feel more interested to read the relevant lessons at home.
When students take notes, they also pay better attention to the class. This helps them to take better preparation about the course and thus they can be better prepared for the exam.
Those who are very wise study in advance at home on what is going to be discussed in the class today. This helps them pay better attention to the class. They can put questions to the teachers, if necessary. They can actively participate in the class discussion. They eventually do good in studies.
Students need to remember that only taking good class note is not enough. They should know how to use it. They must review it and review it in time. The best time for reviewing is just after the teacher leaves the class. It might take some five minutes for them to review in the class but this is very helpful. This will help them remember the lessons permanently.
If they do not get time to review just after the class, they must review it at the earliest-may be during break time. They will have to sacrifice some of their time from their break time, but this will give them a lot in return.
Also they need to review the notes after going back home or to the dormitory. This time they need to spend enough time in reviewing them. They need to read the relevant chapters and should match those chapters with their class notes.
It is seen that many students do not read the notes on the same day. They read the notes a few days later, may be on the day when the teacher is going to discuss the same course again. This actually keeps them behind. Students need to give up such habit of keeping study works pending if they really want to get the best out of their class notes.
The better learners will take notes and review the notes at the earliest the better they can expect to do in studies. They will not get panicky about the subject and they will eventually do good in studies and in exams.
