Girl commits suicide under running train

TANGAIL, Mar 6 (UNB): A schoolgirl reportedly committed suicide by jumping under the wheels of a running train at Rajabari level crossing in Kalihati upazila on Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Ankhi Akter, 14, student of class IX and daughter of Abdul Latif, a resident of Parkhi village in the same upazila.
Jahirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kalihati Police Station, said Ankhi jumped before a train heading for the northern region from Dhaka at the level crossing at about 12 noon in a huff with her mother and died on the spot.
