Girl gang-raped during visit to Sylhet

A 23-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by seven people for three days when she went to visit Sylhet on invitation of one of her friends, reports UNB.
The incident took place at the house of the girl's 'friend' Julee from August 19 to August 21, said Nazmul Huda, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad thana.
A complaint was lodged with Jalalabad thana in this connection on Tuesday.
Police arrested three people following the case. They are Julekha alias Julee (19), 'friend' of the rape survivor and wife of Zubayer Hossain, Zubayer Hossain (28) and Joynal Mia (40).
Of the arrestees, one gave confessional statement before the court on Tuesday while the two others were placed on a one-day remand.
According to the complaint, the girl, hailing from Mymensingh district, used to live in Azimpur in Dhaka. Julee is her Facebook friend.
