Girl killed in road accident

TANGAIL, Jul 20 (UNB): A six-year-old girl was killed and two people were injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Bangabandhu Bridge Link Road in Kalihati upazila of the district on Friday.
The victim was identified as Riya, daughter of Abdul Kuddus of Ballabbari of the upazila.
Ujjal Kanti Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, said a Rangpur-bound bus of S Alam Paribahan from Dhaka collided head-on with an Elenga-bound human hauler (tempo) in Soratuil area at noon, leaving Riay, passenger of the tempo, dead on the spot and two others injured.
