Girl\\\'s body recovered

Police recovered the hanging body of a minor girl from a house in the city on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Sufia Khatun, 13, daughter of Habibur Rahman of Lalmonirhat district. Sufia Khatun, who worked as a domestic assistant at a residence in Cantonment area, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in a room at some time between Monday night and Tuesday, her employers claimed. Sufia went her room to sleep after finishing household works on Monday night and she was found in hanging condition in her room on Tuesday morning, they said. On information, police recovered the body from the first floor of the multi-storey building around 7:00am. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
