Girls Closet, an exclusive fashion house for girls from tiny tots to fine young ones, opened at Orchard Point in the city's Dhanmondi area to help mothers dress up their dearly loved daughters.
Noted freedom fighter and theatre leader Nasir Uddin Yousuff and renowned singer Shimul Yousuff inaugurated the fashion house on Monday.
Noted personalities including famous Indian reciter Partha Gosh and Gouri Gosh were also present.
Designer Nazneen Hasan said Girls Closet has been planned to overcome helplessness of mothers who face difficulties in adorning their little girls with dressy clothes with associated matching materials from under one roof.
"I had long been planning to set up such a fashion house where parents would get all things to dress up their daughters," she told the FE.
At present, Girls Closet has night gowns, bath robes and undergarments apart from all kinds of regular and party dresses. Ornaments and bands made by destitute women are also on display for sale.
