GlaxoSmithKline approves 160pc dividend

GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited has approved a 160 per cent dividend (Tk 16.00 per share of Tk 10.00 each) for its shareholders for the year 2009, according to a press release.
The approval was given at the 37th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company at a local hotel in Chittagong recently.
Chairman of the company Dr Hasit Joshipura presided over the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were GlaxoSmithKline directors Shamim Rabbani, Sarwar A Khan and Golam Quddus Chowdhury and Managing Director M Azizul Huq.
A large number of shareholders of the company attended the AGM.
The AGM also approved the directors' report, audited accounts for the year 2009 and auditor's report.
