Visiting foreign journalists and travel writers of nine countries on Saturday emphasised worldwide marketing of Bangladesh tourism to explore its immense potentials. Bangladesh has immense potentials in the tourism sector but it needs massive worldwide marketing to achieve it, they said. The journalists and travel writers recommended that Bangladesh needs huge promotional tourism campaign with proper information through the mainstream international media as well as online. They said this while sharing their experiences of Bangladesh with local journalists and tourism-related other stakeholders at a city hotel. Twenty-eight journalists, travel writers and documentary filmmakers from the UK, Germany, Spain, Russia, Italy, Croatia, Lithonia, Japan and China are now in the country on a 10-day visit that ends on Sunday. At the programme, they termed hospitality of local people, smile of commoners and local cuisine along with the country’s unexplored natural beauty would be the key products of Bangladesh tourism for the foreign tourists. Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) has organised the familiarisation tour for the foreign journalists and travel writers to promote Bangladesh tourism in the international media, according to a news agency.
