Global Markets of HSBC Bangladesh recently organised a three-day workshop on 'BASEL-II and its impact on Treasury Management' at Srimongol in Sylhet recently.
Dealers from fifteen local private banks, three nationalised banks and central bank personnel took part in the workshop.
Head of Global Markets, HSBC Bangladesh Tarique I Khan conducted the workshop and distributed crests among the participants.
Interesting discussion was the implementation of BASEL-II in Bangladesh.
The country is committed to implementing BASEL-II standards from 2009.
The workshop was followed by team building activities and a cultural evening.
