GM Zia, FM Minaz joint leaders in Grandmasters Chess

Despite failing to win his 6th round fixture Grand Master Ziaur Rahman of Biman now share the top position with FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny 2000 Limited after the completion of the 6th round with 4 points of the Berger Six Seasons Grandmasters Chess Tournament, reports BSS.
This tournament is being held Thursday sponsored by the Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited in collaboration with Bangladesh Olympic Association and Bangladesh Chess Federation at Tulip Lounge of Uttara Club Limited.
GM Niaz Murshed of Biman came back to winning way to occupy the second position with 3.5 points.
In the 6th round game, Sagar defeated Indian FM Sayantan Das who played with white pieces in Scotch game to win in 34th moves.
