GMG Airlines, the country's largest private carrier, is providing special gift pack to Hajj pilgrims to help them perform Hajj smoothly, officials said.
The special pack includes Hajj manual, dry food, bag and umbrella.
The airlines launched the programme by distributing gift packs to the Jeddah-bound passengers at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city Wednesday.
"We hope the gift pack will be helpful for the devotees, as many of them would perform the Hajj and visit a foreign land for the first time," said Mr Christian Heinzmann, chief executive officer of GMG Airlines.
He said GMG has ensured best possible customer service to the pilgrims to make their journey comfortable.
GMG has deployed Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft to carry the Hajj passengers. However, other passengers can also avail the flight to visit Jeddah during the Hajj.
The airlines started operations on April 6, 1998. It began with domestic services, and then launched international flights in September 2004, with flights between Chittagong and Kolkata. Beximco Group, one of the country's largest industrial conglomerates, acquired its substantial stake last year.
