Gold, cash snatched stabbing two in city

A gang of robbers took away gold ornaments and cash after stabbing two persons at a house in Khilgaon area in Dhaka on Sunday. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Khilgaon Police Station Mainul Islam said a gang of robbers numbering four entered the three-storey building of A K Golam Sarwar at 464 in Purba (East) Goran around 5:30am. The hoodlums entered the house cutting window grill of the first floor. Later, they looted 30 tolas of gold ornaments and cash Tk0.1 million (Tk one lakh) from the house. The hoodlums also stabbed two inmates of the house when they tried to resist them. The injured persons were admitted to a local hospital, according to BSS.
