Gold price up by Tk 2,507 per bhori in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold by Tk 2,507 per bhori, setting the new rate for 22-carat gold at Tk 2,04,283 per bhori, reports UNB.
The new price will take effect from Tuesday, according to a BAJUS press release issued on Monday night.
BAJUS said the price adjustment came following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market.
Under the revised rates, the price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,94,999 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,67,145 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk 1,38,942 per bhori.
Earlier, on November 1, BAJUS raised the price of gold.
