Gold prices down by Tk 1,225

Prices of gold decreased by Tk 1,225 per bhori (11.664 gram) in the local market on Saturday, jewelers said.  
In a statement, Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) said they had refixed the prices in conformity with those on the international market. 
The BAJUS had earlier reduced the gold prices in November 2015.
On November 8, gold prices were slashed by Tk 1,225 a bhori after an increased by Tk 1,500 on October 17 on local markets. 
On Saturday, a bhori of 22-carat (11.664 gram) gold was selling between Tk 41,290 and Tk 41,225, down from Tk 42,515.
A bhori of 21-carat gold was gold at Tk 39,191, which was at Tk 40,416. A bhori of 18-carat gold was sold at Tk 21,686, down from Tk 33,767.
Traditional gold will be sold at Tk 21,462 a bhori from tomorrow (Monday), down from the previous price of Tk 22,686.
Silver prices also followed suit, decreasing by by Tk 58 per bhori. Each bhori was sold at Tk 875, which was at Tk 933 before.
