Gold seized at Hazrat Shahjalal Int\\\'l Airport

Armed police arrested three persons along with a gold bar weighting 500 grams, gold ornaments weighting 139 grams and nine kg's of powder milk from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city Wednesday morning, reports BSS.
"We seized the gold worth about Tk 2.5 million and nine kg's of powder milk from three passengers of Singapore and Malaysia Airline Sharif Mondol (32), Awlad Hossain (34) and Rintu (35) around 7:30am," Senior Assistant Superintendent Al Amin of Airport Armed Police Battalion told the agency.
Of the seized gold ornaments, there are 12 necklaces, 12 rings and 12 lockets, he said. A case was lodged in this regard.
