Good decision
Wednesday, 24 August 2022
The government's decision to reschedule office timing is a good decision. According to the decision, government offices and autonomous institutions will remain open from 8 am to 3 pm instead of the usual 9 am to 5 pm. Again, banks will stay open from 9 am to 4 pm, instead of the regular 10 am to 6 pm working hours. The decision has been taken to cut the power consumption. There are some more benefits of the move.
Reduced and tight work schedules will help increase productivity. Working people will start the day earlier and also finish earlier. It will give them enough time to spend with their families. Though some initial problems will be there to adjust to the new schedule, they should be settled within a week.
It is now necessary to keep the office staff fully active during the working hours. The time spent in office should be properly used. The authorities should encourage efficient and comprehensive use of digital platforms.
