Good foreign remittance inflow
Friday, 24 October 2014
Last September, Bangladesh received healthy foreign remittance to the tune of US $ 1.32 billion. Thanks to our expatriate workers who are sending their hard-earned money to their homeland and making its economy robust.
The foreign remittance of our expatriate citizens is the lifeline of our economy and in return, we should also make their lives easy.
Now our foreign reserve has come close to US$ 22 billion and I am sure, soon it will cross $ 50 billion mark. The government should take appropriate steps so that the young people of our country, who want to go abroad and change their luck, face no hassle.
Bangladesh has unlimited possibilities as we have a young and vibrant population eager to learn and work hard. Last year, our country received $14 billion remittance and it is expected that this year it will be more.
Long-term political stability will lift the country out of the poverty cycle and for that, all political parties should sit and resolve their differences, as at the end it is the common man who has the final say in choosing his/her leaders.
