Good liquoring Dusts get firm rates

The offerings were larger in the week which met with fairly strong demand from all sections of the market. Good liquoring Dusts sold well at around firm rates. Pakistan buyers were more active on the clean Brokens and Fannings and prices for these were mostly dearer. Blenders/ Packeteers lent useful support whilst Loose tea buyers were a little more active. As a result, there were less withdrawal this week.
CTG LEAF: 29,270 packages and (723 packages of Old Season) met with a strong demand.
BROKENS: Well made Brokens good liquoring Brokens were strongly competed for and were generally dearer by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 and these were sold between Tk 87 and Tk 90. All others were about firm.
FANNINGS: Well made good liquoring Fannings were again a firm feature and prices ranged between Tk 84 and Tk 86. Medium types were also a good market but were often slightly easier. Plainer teas, likewise, met with a slightly easier market.
CTG DUST: 4,422 packages and (293 packages of Old Season) on offer met with a slightly improved demand but at mostly easier rates. Good liquoring RDs/PDs/Ds were firm to slightly easier. Medium types eased by Tk 3.00 to Tk 5.00 with some withdrawals in the plainer liquoring varieties. CDs were mostly an easier market. Blenders were more active with a little more interest from the loose tea buyers.
