CHITTAGONG, May 24: Goods worth Tk 1.5 million were gutted in a paper carton manufacturing factory in Jalalabad area under Baizid Bostami police station in the city today. The fire originated from an electric short circuit in the Quality Box Industry in the early morning. Fire fighters rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control after three hours of efforts at around 6.30 am, fire station source said. Officials estimated the loss of goods including media paper, paper reel and machinery at Tk 1.5 million.
