Goons injure six in city

Alleged extortionists injured three construction workers and three security guards of an under-construction building at Ibrahimpur in the city Tuesday, police said.
Witnesses said five to six persons went to the under-construction building at 209, Ibrahimpur under Kafrul police station in the city at about 7:30am and started beating up the construction workers and security guards.
The injured persons were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from where they received first aid.
The injured workers told this reporter at the hospital that the attackers earlier demanded toll from the building owner and threatened them of dire consequences if they failed.
