GOP urges EC not to invite JaPa, 14-party alliance to its dialogue

Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) has urged the Election Commission (EC) not to invite the Awami League (AL), Jatiya Party (JaPa), 14partt alliance and those who pushed the country towards destruction by taking part in the 2024 'dummy' elections under what it termed the fascist Sheikh Hasina, to its dialogue, reports BSS.
Leaders of the GOP made the demand in writing during a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon on Wednesday.
A four-member delegation, led by the party's General Secretary Md Rashed Khan, met the CEC.
The GOP urged the EC to hold dialogues with only those political parties the National Consensus Commission had consulted.
