Gopalganj BNP leader detained

Police have detained BNP's Gopalganj Joint General Secretary Basu Biswas ahead of Sunday's shutdown called by Islamist parties demanding Abdul Latif Siddiqui's arrest. He was picked up from the Sadar Upazila's Boultali on Saturday night. Gopalganj Sadar police OC Md Zakir Hossain said they suspected the BNP leader could try to create unrest during the shutdown, according to bdnews24.com.
