Gopalganj municipality announces Tk 222.25m budget

GOPALGANJ, July 21: Gopalganj municipality has announced Tk 222.25 million reduced budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2009-10.
Chairman of the municipality Hasmat Ali Sikder Channu announced the budget at his office Tuesday.
Of the total budget Tk 43.27 million has been estimated as revenue income and Tk 178.50 million as government allocation.
On the other hand, Tk 43.25 million has been estimated as revenue expenditure and Tk 179 million as development expenditure.
Construction of roads, drains, bridges, footpaths and parks are included in the development works.
Municipality Commissioners, journalists and local elite were also present during the budget announcement.
