Gov medical officer held with 2,000 Yaba in Kushtia

Police in a drive arrested a government medical officer and two of his associates along with 2,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from as saw mill in Zia Road area of Mirpur municipality area of Kushtia district on Sunday night. The arrestees were identified as Dr Asaduzzaman Firoj, 33, a medical officer of Kushtia Chest Disease Hospital, Jaynal Abedin Jay, 32, son of Abdul Jannat resident of Chak Krisnapur village of Daulatpur upazila in the district, and Naharul Islam Malitha, 33, the owner of Malitha Saw Mill and son of late Abdul jabber Malitha, a resident of ward no-4 of the municipality. Kazi Jalal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station said on secrete information, police conducted a drive at the area and arrested the trio along with 2,000 pieces of Yaba tablets, according to a news agency.
