Government orders reopening govt and non-govt colleges in div cities to end forced

Dhaka, Sep 6 (UNB) - The government ordered the reopening of all government and non- government colleges in divisional cities, after a fortnight of their forced closure. An official announcement Thursday said, "The government has decided to withdraw an order issued on August 22 for closure of all government and non-government colleges in divisional cities." Principals of the colleges have been asked to resume activities of their colleges, now that the situation arising out of an unwanted Dhaka University incident has improved. Amid spreading violence from campus to campus over the issue, the caretaker government had issued the directive closing down all public universities and the aforesaid colleges for indefinite period.
