Govt backing out, says Ganajagaran Mancha

Thursday, 12 June 2014

Ganajagaran Mancha spokesperson Imran H Sarker has accused the government of reneging on its commitment to lend support to their 6-point-demand that includes the banning of Jamaat-e-Islami. He said this on Wednesday while distributing leaflets, handbills, and putting up posters as part of Ganajagaran Mancha’s programme ‘Ganajagaran at Every House’, at Tongi Bazar, in Gazipur district. Imran said: ‘We’re seeing sign that the government has backed out of the pledge it had made.’ Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) General Secretary Asadullah Badal and Mancha central leaders were present at the time. Mancha started its campaign in Gazipur on Wednesday to drum up support for war crimes trials and its 6-point charter of demands, according to bdnews24.com.
