Govt borrowing from banks decline

The government in the first four months (Jul-Oct) of the current financial year (FY15) has borrowed less money from banking system and paid back more to make the banks capable more in strengthening private sector credit growth. The government during the period of FY15 borrowed Tk 89.80 billion, which was Tk 99.60 billion in the same period of FY14, according to the latest statistics of Bangladesh Bank (BB), said a news agency.
