Govt cancels Ad-Din Hospital licence over six newborns’ death

FE REPORT | Friday, 12 June 2026

The Directorate General of Health Services has cancelled the license of Ad-Din Hospital in Dhaka over the recent deaths of six newborns at the hospital's post operative unit.
The decision was made as the hospital's response to the show-cause notice over the issue could not satisfy the authorities.
The decision was also announced by Director General of DGHS Prof Dr Prabhat Chandra Biswas at a press conference on Thursday.
The DGHS also issued a letter with regard to cancellation of the license to the hospital's executive director and proprietor Sheikh Mohiuddin on Thursday.
