\\\'Govt committed to making Bangladesh poverty-free\\\'

PABNA, July 4 (BSS): Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif said here today the Awami League (AL) government is determined to make Bangladesh a poverty-free country.
"Different pragmatic measures taken by the government has helped boost the country's economy by increasing gross domestic product, per capita income and foreign direct investment," he said while visiting educational institutions at Ishwardi here.
"The government is relentlessly working to bring down the gap between the poor and the rich," he said, adding that Bangladesh would become a mid-income country by 2021 under the dynamic leadership of Sheikh Hasina.
