Govt directed to allow Kazi Zafar, Mir Nasir go abroad for treatment

The High Court Sunday directed the government to allow Jatiya Party leader Kazi Zafar Ahmed and graft-convict ex-state minister Mir Mohammad Nasir Uddin of BNP, now on bail, to go abroad for medical check up, reports UNB.
The vacation bench comprising Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury and Justice M Nizamul Huq, upon separate petitions, passed the orders.
Kazi Zafar was allowed to stay abroad for four months while Mir Nasiruddin for three months, court sources said.
Advocate Khan Saifur Rahman and Advocate Saif-uddin Ahmed Chowdhury appeared for Kazi Zafar and Mir Nasiruddin respectively.
