Govt employee commits suicide

A government employee allegedly committed suicide by jumping on the ground from the 8th floor of a 12-storied building in the city's Segunbagicha area Tuesday noon. The dead was identified as Selim (54), office assistant of Bangladesh Karmachari Kalyan Board. Police said, Selim, who hailed from Bichpag village in Senbagh Upazila of Noakhali, jumped on the ground from the building at about 12:30 pm, and died on the spot. — UNB
