Govt for modernising police, RAB: Kamal

Sunday, 8 June 2014

The State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said the government is putting in it’s best efforts for modernisation of the country’s police force and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) by providing necessary manpower, training and logistic supports. The state minister made the remarks while inaugurating the newly-constructed two-storied building of Atpara police station in Netrakona district. Dismissing the possibility of disbanding RAB, he said, ‘It would not be a correct decision to disband the entire RAB force over the issue of involvement of few members of the force in crimes or corruptions.’ He said, ‘RAB has done many good jobs for ensuring security of the country’s people, meanwhile, RAB has developed into an institution.’ The state minister said the guilty RAB personnel will be brought to book, according to BSS.
