Govt for more female drivers
Sunday, 1 June 2014
The government wants to raise the number of female drivers in Bangladesh saying they can make roads safer. ‘Women tend to drive more carefully; so, it may be possible to reduce accidents by having more of them driving,’ said Communications Minister Obaidul Quader during an awareness drive at Dhaka’s Mohakhali Bus Stand. ‘That is why we are planning to increase the number of female drivers,’ he added while talking to reporters during the campaign on Saturday, according to bdnews24.com.
