Govt inks $50m deal with Saudi Fund for Dev

Saudi Fund for Develop-ment has signed an agreement with Bangladesh government woth US$ 50 million (187,50 million Saudi Riyals) for constructing a bridge over the Teesta River at Gaibandha at a ceremony in the city recently. Director General of Saudi Export Programme Ahmed Al Ghannam and Joint Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) of the Finance Ministry Mohammad Amjad Hossain signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. With the signing of the deal, the total allocated fund of Saudi Fund for Development stands to $ 561,658,666/67 for 17 development projects in Bangladesh.
