Govt launches hotline service for migrant workers

The government has introduced a hotline service, named 'Probash-Bondhu Call Centre,' to facilitate outbound workers with necessary information, including employment opportunities and loan services.
The toll-free number is 16135, which will be operated by the Wage Earners'
Welfare Board under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, according to a press statement issued on Monday.
Migrant workers and their families will also get assistance though the number, if they face problems.
The call centre will remain open 24 hours and round the week to receive calls from the migrants, it said.
Apart from the hotline, migrant workers also can call from abroad at the number +8809610102030 to get the similar services.
