Govt out to brand BNP as militant party: Fakhrul

Stating that their party does not believe in militancy and terrorism, BNP spokesman Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday alleged that the government is trying to brand BNP as a militant and extremist party though militancy emerged in the country during Awami League rule. Addressing the triennial council of Syedpur BNP at local town hall, he further said, “The government is now trying to identify BNP a militant and radical party to make their political gain,” according to a news agency.
