KUSHTIA, June 10 (UNB): The government has taken an initiative to keep memory of Mir Mosharraf Hossain, the writer of Bishad Shindhu, through constructing a museum at his homestead at Lahinipara village in Kumarkhali Upazila.

Under the scheme, an auditorium and a library will also be constructed, official sources said.

A lump allocation of Tk 3.5 million has already been made for Kushtia Zilla Parishad to implement the scheme.

The land acquisition committee, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ehteshamul Huq, has recently visited the site and fixed 1.5 bigha lands to construct the structures. "The government has decided to provide Tk 15.0 million for executing the plan," informed social worker Abdur Rouf, who is relentlessly working to implement the scheme.
