Govt rechristens 880 institutions named after Hasina family

The interim government has renamed a total of 880 infrastructures, establishments and institutions that were previously named after deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other members of their family, reports bdnews24.com.
Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Saturday.
"A 160-page book was required to list the names of 880 establishments, offices, schools, laboratories and even small public corners named after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina, the wider Sheikh family, and individuals close to them," he said.
