Govt should give subsidy to fuel, says Fakhrul
Saturday, 7 May 2011
BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Friday said the government should give subsidy to fuel instead of raising prices as it will further aggravate people's sufferings, reports UNB.
The BNP acting secretary general made the remarks as reporters sought his reaction over raising fuel price by Tk 2 per litre by the government Thursday.
Mirza said people have already been passing days in distress amid price hike of essentials. Price hike of fuel would further increase the prices of essentials, he added.
